Requirements
- Everyone is REQUIRED to buy and
wear a Centerville Team Suit. This suit is to be worn at all
Centerville meets.
- Boys are also required to buy and
wear Centerville drag suits.
- All team members receive
Centerville parkas, jackets, bags, and caps. It is required that
these be worn at all Centerville meets.
IMPORTANT: Club suits caps, T-shirts, etc. are NOT permitted at
Centerville meets.
- If you are swimming Sectionals,
Districts, or States, you will be required to wear either your
Centerville suit or a plain black Aquablade or Fastskin suit. No
other suits or colors will be permitted.
- To promote team spirit, all
parents are encouraged to wear the "black & gold"
at meets!
- Team apparel will be available for
purchase at Equipment night.
- It is also REQUIRED that athletes
stay at the pool until the end of every Centerville meet to
support their teammates.

Transportation Reminder: For away meets only,
all swimmers
must use CHS School transport to-and-from meets. No exceptions.
Varsity Letter
To earn a CHS Varsity Letter,
swimmers need to achieve a District cut, in a CHS team suit/cap (no
jammers for boys, and cap must be CHS if worn). Swimmers must
also be in good standing with the team, academically eligible, and
make reasonable practices. District cuts are available here:

State
and Diving Meet Information
- The team provides transportation,
accommodations, and board for the State Team.
- A block of rooms had been held for Swimming
and Diving parents attending the meet at the HAMPTON INN, Canton. The phone
# is 330-492-0151.
- All rooms have king beds. Reservations
must be made by January 1st.
- State tickets may be ordered at a meeting on
the Sunday following Districts. Date and time TBA. Each qualifying
athlete may purchase a maximum of 2 tickets.
- ALL parents attending the meet will be asked
to donate a snack for the athletes and sign up for line duty.
- More information will be available closer to
the meet

the Centerville High School Swim/Dive Team.

me in welcoming our experienced coaching staff: Beth
Carstens, Jim Matson, Alice Licata and Patty Hickey. We
have assembled an excellent group of coaches who are truly
dedicated to the team and excited about ELKS swimming!

Bad
Weather Policy
If the WTRC is closed there will not
be practice. For afternoon and evening practices if school is
cancelled I will make a one call as to the status of practice, for
afternoon and evening practice even if school is cancelled we may
still run a practice. If there is practice in bad weather and
parents are not comfortable sending swimmers to practice please call
432-0382 to inform the coaches of this. For morning swim practices
if school is cancelled there will not be a morning practice. If
school is not cancelled by 4:30am, I will make a decision as to the
weather. I will send out a one call and update the web if practice
will be canceled. Otherwise practice will be on.
